Set in the 1930s, All Creatures Great and Small follows vets working in the Yorkshire Dales and their countless adventures caring for and treating animals, as well as helping their owners. It all begins when Siegfried Farnon hires young vet James Herriot for his veterinary practice at Skeldale House. Joining them is Tristan Farnon, Siegfried's brother, who also takes on the role of vet.
Together, the trio put their country veterinary practice to good use, most notably starting with the Pekingese dog Tricki Woo, owned by Mrs. Pumphrey (played by the late actress Diana Rigg in season one). When they're not soothing their furry friends, performing operations on farm animals, or getting kicked around by a horse, the main characters also navigate life and love amid their heartwarming and hilarious adventures.
In All Creatures Great and Small Season 3, we will have a highly anticipated show that is the wedding of James and Helen. Ever since that proposal at the end of season 2, the couple finally getting married is what every fan has been waiting to see.
All Creatures Great and Small is based on the Alf Wight book series, also using the name of its main character, James Herriot, as a pen name.
